(BOSTON–6/17/2026) Today at the State House, Senator Feeney had the honor of recognizing his constituent and LGBTQ+ pioneer, Jean L. E. Dolin, as the Senator's nominee for the 2026 Commonwealth Pride Awards. 

Jean is a member of the illustrious Forbes 30 Under 30 list and one of Boston Magazine's Most Influential Bostonians in 2024. He is a cultural philanthropist, social impact entrepreneur, and the Founder and CEO of the Boston LGBTQ+ Museum of Art, History & Culture. Jean also created Portraits of Pride, a nationally recognized public art exhibition honoring LGBTQ+ leaders and changemakers. This year, the Museum is partnering with MassDOT and Boston neighborhoods to showcase exhibits celebrating Massachusetts' 250th. Through this body of work, Jean has elevated powerful stories of resilience, advocacy, and achievement, inspiring and educating people from all walks of life. 

Senator Feeney also recognized and congratulated the Pride Award nominees from across the Bristol and Norfolk Senate District: 

• Jillian Amaral and Patty McGeary, nominated by State Representative Jim Hawkins. For decades, Jillian and Patty have strengthened their community through education, civic engagement, and compassionate volunteerism. They have been married for 25 years. 

• Toben Asklar, nominated by State Representative Ted Philips. Toben is the driving force behind the ever-growing Sharon Pride celebration and has helped create a more visible and welcoming community for LGBTQ+ residents and families.
